Three new Apple Watch Nike Sport band colours coming tomorrow

Nike will soon make brand-new Apple Watch Nike Sport band colours available to Nike Plus members. The company has announced a new Nike Sport band and two new Nike Sport Loop bands – these are going to be launched in a couple of days.

Nike shared this news in a rather modest announcement in the iPhone’s Nike shopping app. The three new colours include an Olive Flak edition of the Nike Sport band and Celestial Teal and Smokey Mauve editions of the Nike Sport Loop bands.

Both of the latter are also reflecting, similar to the Summit White and Black versions that are sold with the Series 4 edition of Apple Watch Nike+. The latest reflective Nike Sport Loop band hasn’t been sold separately yet by either Apple or Nike – that normally happens around six months after starting to sell unique bands exclusively with Apple watches.

Nike itself has issued no statement on whether the three latest Apple Watch bands are going to be sold separately or only in combination with Apple Watch Nike+, but one should perhaps accept that the second scenario is more likely because, in the announcement, every band colour is depicted with an Apple Watch Nike+ and a watch face that matches.

According to the announcement from Nike, the new bands will go on sale tomorrow, though they can only be purchased via the Nike app for iPhone and “exclusively in the Nike Plus Member Shop”.

Many readers who don’t own Apple Watches will probably hope that the new bands will be sold separately and not only as a package deal with Apple Watch Nike+, but don’t hold your breath – Nike has sold brand-exclusive band colours before.
